Bereavement & Memorial Services

Valor HospiceCare & PalliativeCare provides grief education and bereavement services to our families and the community. A comprehensive 13 month bereavement program is offered to family members and loved ones of the patients who we have served.

"Walking Through Jello"

"Walking through Jello" is a 5 week class in various communities to teach skills to help process loss. It is based in learning to be aware and will address, emotions, safe places to find support, attention to mind, body and spirit as loss is processed, respecting and honoring the past, hoping for the future and living in the present. These classes may have a charge for registration and expense coverage and we ask that participants register ahead to aid in planning. Class size is limited.

This is not a grief support group, though such as group could be formed from class members. Please see our Calendar section of our website for futher details.

"Getting Ready to Go" - Exploring End-of-Life Issues

Valor HospiceCare & PalliativeCare in conjunction with local churches and health care organizations, will provide all day Saturday conferences on issues relating to end-of-life issues, such as: legal and funeral planning, health care options, hospice, pain control, organ donation, grief and bereavement, planning ahead and what to do when decline begins.

Valor HospiceCare & PalliativeCare Memorial Service - 2009

The Valor HospiceCare & PalliativeCare Memorial Service will honor the patients that we have served in our twice-yearly Memorial Services.

We would like to include the name of your loved one in our readings during our memorial service. Please contact us in advance for the name of your family member and the number of people who will be attending the service.
