Our success is directly related to the nurturing of our key asset -- our staff. The company has developed and implemented an extensive Human Capital Management framework that allows us to develop, implement and measure over 25 human resources areas of our company. A vital part of this framework is our Valor Institute, an investment in new employees, current staff and community health care professionals. The Valor Institute comprises:

· For New Employees, Comprehensive, By-discipline New Employee Orientation (NEO) for Staff New to Valor, Hospice and Palliative Care
· For Experienced Staff, Additional In-service Training in our Academic-based Program
· For Health Care Professionals, Evidence-based, C.E.U. Palliative Care Training from Innovative Research for Health Care Professionals in our Communities

Valor Institute - Pain Management and Palliative Care Conference - Fall 2009
Valor HospiceCare & PalliativeCare's Valor Institute, in collaboration with the Pain Society of Southern Arizona and Valor Hospice Foundation hosts a series of conferences on Pain Management and Palliative Care. Physicians and healthcare professionals are invited to participate. These conferences provide additional education on ethics in end-of-life and palliative care, including new research and knowledge about pain management and symptom control.
