We offer various volunteer opportunities for areas of patient care, family and bereavement support and organizational assistance. Training is held in our Tucson Central, Green Valley and Sierra Vista offices. Call for times and sessions. Celebration of Life!
Valor provides memorial services twice a year to honor our patients, families, staff and the community. All are invited and refreshments will be served after the service.

Walking Through Jello
"Walking Through Jello" is a 5 week class held in various communities to teach skills to help process loss. It is based on learning to be aware and will address emotions, safe places to find support, attention to mind, body and spirit as loss is processed, respecting and honoring the past, hoping for a future and living in the present. We ask that participants register ahead to aid in planning. Class size is limited and classes are free.

The Tucson Bereavement Grief Support Group will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12:00 - 1:00 pm (please feel free to bring your own lunch).

Green Valley Support Group
The Green Valley Bereavement Grief Support Group is now held in conjunction with Valley Presbyterian Church. These Grief Recovery Classes are 5 weeks in length, with the next session starting in January. Please contact the Green Valley office for dates, times and further information.

Valor Institute - Advance Directives Seminars - 2009
Our Advance Directives seminars have been well received in Arizona's communities. Get information on Advanced Directives such as Durable Medical Power of Attorney, DNR Order (Do Not Resuscitate), "5 Wishes" and Vial of Life. An attorney will be at the meeting to answer questions regarding Arizona state laws when pertaining to these matters. Area Fire Department representatives will have Vial of Life information and answer questions. Free! No RSVP needed.
